Description: The latest results of the medical research show that the natural silk proteins can be applied as the raw materials to produce new drugs that are specialized in the treatment of cutaneous carcinoma, large intestine cancer, diabetes and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). The natural silk proteins contain aminophenol and active polypeptide that is essential to human bodies. These nutritious ingredients have special functions of affinity, as a drug, able to release slowly and inhibit effectively. According to the results of animal tests made in the other countries, the drugs using natural silk proteins as raw materials can effectively prevent cutaneous carcinoma, and increase insulin secretion and reduce blood sugars. Its unique substance polypeptide can stop SARS viruses from invading cells of human bodies, and improve immunity of human bodies. Due to its special immune regulation capability, if the natural silk proteins can be developed into a new high tech drug, the medicine will bring a lot benefits to the human. The total project cost of this project is RMB 30 million.
Financial Evaluation: This Project can produce new materials used in new drugs for treatment of cutaneous carcinoma, large intestine cancer, diabetes and SARS after implementing the project. Estimated annual sales income is RMB 30 million with annual profits RMB 10 million. The investment will be paid off within 3 years.
Cooperation Form: Joint venture or cooperative
Requirements: It is hoped that the foreign partner inputs cashes and/or opens new market. The partner abroad can help collect new materials of researches or relevant companies or institutes.
Preferential Conditions from the Chinese Counterpart: The Chinese counterpart will be responsible for the formalities of project review and approval, technical support and other related service.
Status of Chinese Counterpart: Huzhou Aotesi Biochemical Co. , Ltd. is a well-known high technology enterprise in Huzhou. The company has invested RMB 15 million in the project. Huzhou that is known as the home of silks is rich in the resources of silks. The company has worked with the state research institutes and universities on R&D of new applications for silk resources. Now the company has set up new production lines for silk protein production. The Production technologies take leadership in the domestic industry. The silk protein product of the company passed the accreditation for New Product Achievements of Zhejiang Province on April 8, 2003. The products can be applied in the fields of foodstuff and pharmaceutical industries, and now are exported to the international market successfully.
