Description: Town of Daixi is known as one of the 11 central townships in Huzhou and is an important place for hardware machinery manufacturing industry. According to the plan,the Shangqiang Industrial Park in Daixi is to cover a land of 1,560 mu, of which the land price negotiated as per the market prices is much lower than that in the surrounding areas. At present there are 28 enterprises in the Park manufacturing hardware machinery, logistic equipment, motorcycle parts, automotive parts, high and low voltage electrical components, electronics, mineral products machinery and metal surface treatment etc, with the annual production value of RMB 500 million. The hardware machinery industry has been considered as the major sector and encouraged by the government. In order to incorporate with the Shanghai economic circle and meet the demand of shift of the enterprises from Shanghai and Hangzhou, the park plans to be expanded from the current scale to 3 kilometer 2 or even larger, so as to build an modern manufacturing base ultimately.

Project Progress: The infrastructure facilities have been built basically. The industry park designing was done jointly by Zhejiang University Urban and Rural Planning and Design Institute(Huzhou )Municipal Economic Construction Planning Institute. The land is adequate for the future development.

Plan of Implementation: It is planned to build a specialized industrial park on hardware machinery manufacturing that covers a land of 1,000 mu.

Cooperation Form: Sole proprietorship , Cooperative Operation ,or Joint Venture

Requirements: The Chinese party is looking for the partner to develop the industrial park construction project together.

Incentives: The Chinese party will take charge of the land requisition, related services and coordination with the relevant departments and authorities, and will submit the project to the relevant government authorities for review and approval, etc.

Profile of the Chinese Counterpart: Daixi township is located at the south side of Huzhou, covering a land of 173.6 km2, and enjoying easy accessibility by land and waterway. The No.104 state highway, Hangzhou-Nanjing expressway, East Tiaoxi canal and Xuancheng ¨C Hangzhou railway pass through the town. Daixi is only about 220 kilometers away from Shanghai and 65 kilometers away from Hangzhou, the capital city of the province. The town government has planned 1,000 mu of land to build a manufacturing base for the hardware machinery industry.
